Job Description

INTERNSHIP
EMC Research, Inc. in Oakland is hiring paid interns for Summer 2018. Conveniently located on the BART line in downtown Oakland, EMC Research is a full-service research firm specializing in polling, focus groups, and public opinion research consulting. Clients include political candidates and campaigns, public agencies, non-profits, and corporations throughout California and across the country.
Interns will:
• Assist with background research on projects
• Gain experience with programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Support data processing
• Assist with drafting, editing, and creation of graphic elements for client presentations
• Provide administrative support to staff as needed

Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. While exact start dates are flexible, applicants should be available at least 8 hours per week for at least 8 weeks.

Completion of two years of college coursework with a major in Political Science, Economics, or related fields and an interest in the political process preferred.
