Kinesiology is the scientific study of human anatomy, physiological, biomechanics, and human performance. Merritt offers a wide variety of classes that can lead to exciting careers including:
- Athletic training
- Physical therapy
- Sports Performance (i.e Strength and Conditioning, coaching)
- Research for medical, education, and military.

- Fitness Industry Managment
Kinesiology (KIN) classes are offered in the categories of Fitness Center and Recreational Activity as well as classes leading to the Personal Training Certificate.

The Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art gym with new equipment including exercise machines, cardio equipment, free weights and more. Below are the courses offered in the Fitness Center.

All activity courses are grouped by similar content. Courses in each grouping may only be taken once with a passing grade. Please note that many activity courses are offered with varying skill levels. Students should enroll in an activity class which is most appropriate for their skill level.
