Background:

For 20 years, Learning A.R.T.S has been providing in-home ABA services all throughout Northern California, the Central Valley, and now the Bay Area! Learning A.R.T.S. is different by design; we are solution-based, and core value driven, and our Bay Area team is a prime example of this, as our dedicated supervisors not only strive on getting our patients where they need to, but they also strive in getting our Behavior Technicians there as well. Description:

Behavior Technicians are responsible for direct 1:1 therapy with our patients on the Autism spectrum and implementation of Learning ARTS’ unique program. Upon being hired, Behavior Technicians will receive clinical training in a classroom setting as well as training in-field with our dedicated Behavior Specialists and/or veteran Technicians. By the end of training, you should be competent in: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), DTT, ability to problem solve, chaining, developing social skills, and diffusing crisis behaviors. The Behavior Technician position is part-time (12-20 hours). Work is mostly in the afternoons. Prime time hours: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Patients throughout Berkeley, Oakland, San Leandro, Hayward, Union City and Fremont!

Direct Patient Responsibilities:

• Attend all scheduled shifts
• Prepare session area before start of shift, including stimuli
• Lead patient in discrete trial training (DTT)
• Take data and monitor progress of each target within the programs
• Lead patient in play-based instruction
• Lead and participate in peer play sessions
• Facilitate community-based outings
• Facilitate social interaction
• Use positive behavior programming
• Generalize and maintain mastered skills
• Use of DRO/DRA to assist in behavior changes

An Ideal Candidate would:

• Have ability to give a 1-year commitment
• HS Diploma/GED
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to actively play with kids for 20 minutes at a time.
• Ability to Stand, Sit, Squat, Bend, Twist and lift 50lbs
• DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background Clearance
• TB Clearance and Immunization records
