Advance Social Innovation (ASI) is a 501c3 non-profit organization in US. We provide much-needed services to underrepresented and disadvantaged groups and communities in US and around the globe through innovative and effective programs and projects.
Our goal and mission with this program is to connect passionate and committed skilled-volunteers to social enterprises that are solving social, environmental, and economic problems. Our skilled volunteers in teams, with the guidance/support of Project Managers, help social enterprises with various Human capital need. The goal is to help social enterprises scale and expand outreach.
We have been able to attract highly talented, self-motivated volunteers who deliver strong results. We have a culture that embraces challenges and encourages group participation to solve those challenges. Our volunteers, through their direct participation with complex projects and programs, learn new soft and hard skills or enhance current skills set that are highly desired by employers.

We are looking for a passionate event organizer who can utilize their technical and operational expertise to own everything from creative promotion, execution of event logistics, to venue and event sponsorship package negotiations.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Manage staff responsible for event coordination activities.
• Coordinate details of events such as conferences, birthdays, anniversaries, charity events, surprise parties, business meetings, employee appreciation events and virtual events.
• Calculate budgets and adjust when necessary.
• Book venues and negotiate fees.
• Prepare invitations and send out at appropriate time.
• Hire bartenders and wait staff.
• Promote the event using flyers, cold calling, and social media as examples of ways to spark attention.
• Analyze event performance and prepare metrics presentation.
• Define company brand through events.
• Ensure day of event goes smoothly.
• Set up booths, flowers, decorations, and other event decor.
• Plan menus, order food, and hire chefs or caterers.
Volunteer must be located in the SF Bay Area
