Position: Fabrication Technician
D-Wave is seeking a technically adept individual to fill the role of fabrication technician to support the fabrication group and play a large role in helping to run our lab, located in Palo Alto, California. In this role, you’ll run routine thin film processes, use metrology tools to analyze film quality and update and maintain data sets associated with thin film process runs.

Responsibilities include:
Operation of the PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) system
Being the “eyes and ears” of the lab
Proactive monitoring of systems in the lab
Updating and maintaining data sets for PVD runs and film metrology results
Performing general maintenance and cleaning of the PVD tool and clean-room
Performing shipping and receiving duties as necessary
Picking up and dropping off of material to vendors
Required Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or an equivalent field
Preferably 1+ years’ experience in a similar role
Valid driver’s license and use of a vehicle
Ability to to obtain US Federal security clearance
Steady hands and a commitment to cleanliness
Excellent written & verbal communication
Self-motivated, proactive, flexible and passionate about learning
Experience with basic tools
Skill in MS Office products (Excel, Power-point, Word)
