ABOUT EQUATOR:

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our team enjoys one another, creating a fun and pleasant atmosphere for our café customers, all while crafting high quality coffee and tea beverages. We’re opening a new location in Oakland, near the Broadway and 20th BART station, and are looking to add to our already amazing crew! Baristas provide courteous and knowledgeable customer service through excellent product knowledge, superior barista skills, and attentive and friendly customer interactions.

SKILLS:
* Enjoy people, and customer service is second nature
* Ability to properly utilize brewing equipment to prepare coffee and tea with acute attention to high standards
* Maintain product knowledge regarding all menu items, including seasonal changes (make sure you taste coffee each shift!)
* Experience with detailed cash handling
* Efficient, clean, and organized
* Thirst for knowledge and great coffee (Equator purchases the top 1% of coffee produced in the world)!

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and speak English proficiently. Spanish is helpful.

* Customary Work Days – Varies dependent upon weekly schedule. Saturday & Sunday 
are required days of availability.
* Customary Work Hours – Varies dependent upon weekly schedule. Hours are extended when workload is increased.
