Job Description

Citizen Film is an independent documentary production company in San Francisco that collaborates with community organizations to make and disseminate character-driven documentary films. Work by Citizen Film’s principals have screened on PBS, HBO, IFC, the Sundance Film Festival, NY MoMA, and many others.

We produce several projects simultaneously, and our interns are involved in all stages of documentary film: development, production, and distribution

Responsibilities:
– Assist grant preparation
– Assist on film shoots
– Log and convert media
– Transcribe interviews
– Update scripts
– Assist in the preparation of marketing materials & community outreach

Requirements:
– Available 2-3 days per week (10am-5pm) for 3 months
– Professional, engaged, reliable, detail oriented
– Mac savvy
– Experience in online and library research
– Working knowledge of film/video is beneficial
– Our office uses the following computer programs: Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Media Encoder CC, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro 7, Salesforce, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
