Students Shine at 2015 Annual Scholarship and Award Banquet

Student Lynne Parker beams after receiving the Courage and Perseverance Award presented to her by her counselor Mary Ciddio at the Annual Scholarship and Award Banquet on May 14 for the many obstacles she has climbed to reach for her educational goals. Lynne was one of  more than 60 students to receive awards and scholarships on May 14 for everything from leadership and financial need to significant improvement and athletics. In a follow-up email, Ann Elliott summarized the event well when she said,  “Last night was a wonderful celebration of student success and the six factors that students say lead to their success:  connected—yes, students, staff, faculty and administrators, families and community supporters all connected to value  student  achievement —which rests on students having been engaged, focused and directed  in their studies.” Congratulations to all!
