New College Newsletter Promotes Communication, Welcomes Ideas/Feedback
The first issue of the college’s new internal newsletter, The Merritt Connection, was distributed by email to all employees last Wednesday (click here to find it). The publication, which will be produced through the President’s Office twice a month starting in February, was created as a way to “promote communication and sharing within the campus community,” writes President Dr. Ambriz-Galaviz in her first column. She hopes that the community will contribute ideas for future stories about innovative classes and programs, people profiles, news of new employees, events, human interest stories, and awards and recognitions, as well as highlights of college committees. She asks that any feedback and ideas be sent to Susan May, newsletter writer/editor, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
