Kinesiology is the scientific study of human anatomy, physiological, biomechanics, and human performance. Merritt offers a wide variety of classes that can lead to exciting careers including:

  • Athletic training
  • Physical therapy
  • Sports Performance (i.e Strength and Conditioning, coaching)
  • Research for medical, education, and military.
  • Physical Education
  • Personal Training
  • Fitness Industry Managment

Kinesiology (KIN) classes are offered in the categories of Fitness Center and Recreational Activity as well as classes leading to the  Personal Training Certificate.

Fitness Center

The Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art gym with new equipment including exercise machines, cardio equipment, free weights and more. Below are the courses offered in the Fitness Center.

Personal Training Certificate

Personal Trainers lead, instruct and motivate individuals and groups in exercise activities.
