Jessica Hamilton is an adjunct instructor who teaches distance learning courses. She attended Santa Monica College, then transferred to San Francisco State University where she received Bachelor’s degrees in Africana Studies and History in 2008. In 2010, she received a Master’s Degree in Africana Studies from the University at Albany.

Hamilton also teaches at De Anza College, where she has co-founded an on campus program that encourages activism, leadership, and cultural enrichment.

Hamilton’s teaching and research interests include African Diasporic History, African History, Health and healing in Black communities, and Black expressions of gender and sexuality.
