AFR Flex Day Workshop

On Friday, January 22, the Accreditation Follow-Up Report (AFR) Core Team and Steering Committee conducted a flex day workshop to provide the Merritt community with a status update on the work in progress. An additional goal of the workshop was to acquaint participants with four critical institutional processes being addressed in the report: 1) integrated planning and budgeting; 2) student learning outcomes assessment; 3) college educational master plan; and, 4) use of data in institutional planning and decision-making. Following brief presentations on these institutional processes, administrators facilitated a “world cafe” to engage participants in further discussion. Participants were also asked to take a pre-survey and a post-survey in order to measure how much they had learned. Another workshop shall be presented in February for those who may have missed the one during flex days.
