USDA to Share Opportunities with Students and Faculty on Tues., Dec. 4; See Schedule

The Office of Student Services has invited a representative from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Juan Alvarez, to be our guest on campus on Tuesday, December 4, meet with students and faculty. The USDA, Office of Advocacy and Outreach (OAO),  Hispanic-Serving Institutions National Program (HSINP) is committed to increasing opportunities for students and faculty to assist in developing a strong pipeline of talent for the USDA through the successful execution of various local, state and national programs. Mr. Alvarez is the Regional and Education Specialist of Hispanic-Serving Institutions National Program.

There are possible internships and jobs with the USDA, and with Merritt’s partnership with Mr. Alvarez, that will make it much easier for our students to use him as a reference and referral.
