Help Save Lives by Donating Blood on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 10 -2

Jon Murphy is asking everyone to consider giving blood to save lives on Tuesday, February 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the Library. He and his staff are working hard to fill every available appointment slot on the schedule. “If you can donate, we would greatly appreciate it,” Jon says, ” and please spread the word to students, too!” (See instructions below.)

Why Give Blood?
There is no substitute for blood. It has to come from one person in order to give to another. A critical number of voluntary donations are required every day to meet patients’ need for blood.
Directions and Notes :

Reminder: Every one of our donors qualifies for the Fast Track Health History! They can complete it in the comfort and privacy of their home or office using their own computer or mobile device (smartphone or tablet). The health history must be completed the same day as the donation; it cannot be completed a day or two ahead of time.

By using our online donor schedule to reserve appointments for all of our donors, we have instant communication. This helps us plan staffing and materials to ensure that we are prepared to serve our donors the day of our blood drive. What’s more, our system will help us assure a good turnout by automatically sending email reminders to our donors a few days before our blood drive. We’ll include a link to the Fast Track Health History in this email.

If you have any questions about scheduling appointments for the blood drive or need assistance with the website, please call me at or email me (see my contact info below).

Thank you for your support of the community blood program. Our blood drive helps to make sure blood is available when and where patients need it.

Donors, Please  complete your Fast Track Health History online the day of their donation.

We will send the following indented information in an email to those registered on the day of your blood drive:

Thank you for donating at our blood drive today!

To save you time, complete your Fast Track Health History questionnaire on your computer or mobile device (smartphone or tablet) before you come to the drive.

The health history must be completed the same day you donate; it cannot be completed a day or two ahead of time.

To access the questionnaire, go to the following website.

Blood Centers of the Pacific can accept a Fast Track Ticket from most mobile devices as long as their staff can scan the ticket’s barcode on your device. Or, print and bring the Fast Track Ticket with you.

Important: Before you start the questionnaire, please enter your first and last name exactly as it appears on your donor ID card (if you don’t have a card, use your legal name). Do not use punctuation marks or special characters unless you see it on your card.

Thank you for finding the hero in you!
