All students enrolled in a Merritt course may borrow a Chromebook for an entire semester. Chromebook loans may be renewed for additional semesters with continuing enrollment in Merritt courses.

A limited number of WiFi hotspots are available on a first-come, first-served basis to students who qualify for the Six for Six campaign. Students must be registered for at least six units of coursework at Merritt, submitted a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act application, and completed a Student Education Plan (SEP).

Chromebooks and hotspots may be checked out in person with a Merritt student ID card during library open hours (Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.). Students no longer need to fill out an online form to request a Chromebook or hotspot. Questions about Chromebooks and hotspots may be emailed to ask@merritt.libanswers.com.
