If you’re looking for a rewarding, field-based course to learn general info about the ecology of urban creeks and how we all can help take care of them, enroll now in “ENVMT 44: Introduction to Creek and Watershed Restoration.” Taught by watershed expert Martha Berthelsen, you’ll learn how to map and assess watersheds and test for water quality, and be able to apply principles of hydrology to to sustainable land management. You’ll also learn about a variety of job opportunities in the field–from community organizing to engineering. The course will also include field trips and multiple opportunities to speak with professionals working in watershed protection and creek restoration.
