Feeling Creative? Take a Summer Painting Class!

Merritt College’s new adjunct instructor Gabriel Navar, who describes his own artistry as “provocative, relevant, figurative work with a ‘pop-Latino-surrealist-socio-political sensibility,'” is teaching five levels of painting at Merritt this summer starting Tuesday, June 16. The class will be  held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, in Building A, Room 122. ART 50, 52, and 53, will be from 10 a.m. to 3:50 pm. and ART 51 and 54 will be from 10 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. (See the complete schedule and course numbers in the flyer below.) Navar is an active Bay Area-based artist exhibiting locally, nationally, and abroad. He has been teaching college art classes (including 2-D Design, Drawing, Painting, Art Appreciation, and Art History) since 2001. Learn painting from a very cool and talented artist!
