Wrongly Incarcerated BPP Members Share Their Experiences in an Emotionally Charged Event

As part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the Black Panther Party, three wrongly incarcerated BPP “political prisoners” told their stories in an emotional presentation to a standing-room-only crowd in the Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale Student Lounge. Pictured in front are speakers Charlotte O’Neal, Eddie Conway, and Albert Woodfox (released recently after 43 years) with Dr. Siri Brown, Division I Dean, who organized the celebration events, and Black Student Union members. (If you missed this important event, a videotape of it will be available in the next couple of weeks. Check with smay@peralta.edu).
