PTK Induction to Feature Keynote Speaker and Past President Doris Hankins on Dec. 2

The entire Merritt Campus family is invited by PTK Adviser Barbara Dimopoulos to attend the Fall Induction Ceremony for new Phi Theta Kappans on Friday, December 2, from 2 to 4 p.m.  in the Student Lounge, R-110. “Even if you’re busy,” she says, “drop by to congratulate the students.” These students have earned a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.25 or higher and have accepted membership into Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. The featured keynote speaker will be Doris Hankins, past president of PTK and Staff Assistant in the VP of Instruction’s Office.

Although members are officially inducted into the society when they remit their membership dues, Merritt  has established a tradition over the past 10 years of honoring new members with a special ceremony each semester.
