Merritt College Represents at Laurel Street Fair; More Events to Come!

small Maria at Fair(SEE MORE PHOTOS) Luckily Merritt College was well represented at the bustling Laurel Street Fair on Saturday, August 14, as there were many fair-goers interested in taking classes themselves or inquiring for other family members. Thanks to Outreach Coordinator Maria Spencer, the table was stocked with many brochures and other information about Merritt, as well as materials about the other Peralta Colleges.

Thanks also to volunteers who assisted Maria in spreading the word:  Vice President Arnulfo Cedillo, Susan May, Isela Santana, and Faculty Senate President Mario Rivas, along with those who stopped by to lend their support, Trustee Linda Handy and Business Instructor Guy Forkner (see photos). Maria is asking for more volunteers to join her at future events (see list below) to promote the college, including their own programs that may need a boost. Besides talking up the college, it’s a great way to get to know your community and your colleagues and have some fun at the same time! Just email her if you are interested at mspencer@peralta.edu.
