ASMC Goes to Sacramento to Help Bring Change

The Associated Students of Merritt College (ASMC)  with Dr. Lilia Chavez traveled to Sacramento for BWOPA (Black Women Organized for Power)  Legislative Day at the State Capital. They met with Assemblyman Bonta and discussed implementing positive police images in Early Childhood as well as  the health and nutrition of children and who decides what is healthy.  Assemblyman Bonta shared his philosophies on implicit bias and social justice as it relates to the communities in his district.
