The Merritt College ThunderBirds men’s soccer team represents Merritt College (Peralta Colleges) in all NJCAA men’s college soccer competitions. The ThunderBirds play in the Bay Valley Conference along with Contra Costa College, College of Marin, Mendocino College, Napa Valley College and Yuba College.
Merritt College men’s soccer was established in 2008. The team has improved every season and had its best seasons in 2013 and 2018, winning the conference titles under Coach Zachary Sullivan and Geoffrey Aguiar respectively.
We are very excited to begin the 2019 season and look forward to competing for a place in the state championships under our new head coach Glenn Van Straatum.
Merritt College Soccer Stadium remains one of the few soccer-only-lined turf fields in Northern California.
