Dr. Audrey Trotter
Dr. Trotter has over 34 years of experience working in community colleges and has previously served in executive-level positions for the Peralta Community College District. She has served as Vice President, Dean, Assistant to the Associate Vice President for Academic Programs, Program Director, and Coordinator at community colleges throughout the country.
Dr. Trotter has taught in the K-12 system and provided consulting services to small businesses, non-profits, public municipalities, and the community college division of a state’s higher education agency. She has served as a faculty member at Merritt since 2003 and has been very active in the college’s academic senate since 2007. Dr. Trotter has exceptional expertise with the Accreditation Self-Evaluation and has served on four accreditation teams and as an Accreditation Liaison Officer.
Dr. Trotter brings a wealth of knowledge to Student Services having served as the Director of the Title III Grant, “Strengthening Pathways, Systems, and Services to Maximize Student Success.” She has worked very closely with Student Services in developing Learning Communities and The First Year Experience for students.
Dr. Trotter’s educational background includes a Ph.D in Educational Administration, University of Texas at Austin, a Masters in Science in Education, Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL, and a Bachelor of Science in Intermediate Education, Bradley University, Peoria, IL.
