E-Books
Overview
An e-book, or electronic book, is a digital version of a traditional printed book designed to be read on a computer or other digital device. Currently, the Library owns nearly 16,000 e-books on a variety of academic, vocational, as well as general interest topics. These e-books are contained in two separate collections, the EBSCO eBook Collection (formerly NetLibrary e-Books) and the Gale Virtual Reference Library. Click on the appropriate tab above to explore each of these e-book collections.
E-Book Access
Merritt College students may access all of the library's e-books from home or anywhere off-campus with an Internet connection. For off-campus login information, please e-mail your full name and Merritt College student ID number to merrittlib@peralta.edu or present your Merritt College student ID card at the Circulation or Reference Desks in the Library.
E-Book Assistance
Librarians are available at the Reference Desk during open hours to assist you with accessing and using e-books. Please call (510) 436-2557, e-mail merrittlib@peralta.edu, or visit the Reference Desk in person.
