Business & Technology Department
Mission: Our department is composed of Business, Economics, Real Estate and CIS courses that help prepare you for a variety of business-related careers. Guy Forkner and Ron Grant serve as department co-chairs.

The Business Department offers occupational and professional programs in business which give students general business knowledge in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and Management areas.

Computer Information Systems
The CIS Department offers a full-service computer lab, available and open to current students in the CIS/BUS programs. The lab provides a quieter and less crowded environment in which students can learn, practice and study computer skills.
Location: P103 in P Building, Merritt College

CIS Department gives you the education and training you need to search for entry-level employment in the computer support field. You can learn about computer programs, hardware and software, and network systems. It is a good chance to develop essential workplace skills that will help you stand out in the job market.

Our new CONTRACT program has all the courses you need not just for salesperson/broker licensing, but in addition, all the classes you need to take the state exam to become a state-licensed Trainee Appraiser. We want you to get licensed and get working as soon as possible!
All the faculty - Carl Ogden, Joanna Ratkovich ( Certified General Appraiser), and chairman Guy Forkner - have worked hard to get this new program up and running.
